Pineapple and banana make a kale smoothie delicious tasting – almost like having a dessert for breakfast or lunch. Try combining pineapple and mango — also yummy.
Makes 1 16-ounce serving, or 2 smaller servings
- 1 1/2 cups kale leaves or baby kale (stalks removed, rinsed)
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks, and any juice
- 4 pitted, dried dates
- 1 banana
- 1 cup ice
- 1/2 cup water
- Optional additons: 1 tablespoon ground flax seed, 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
1. Put the ingredients into your blender, and blend from low to high until smooth and creamy. The dates should be unnoticeable.
