Wild Men of Borneo: The stage name for the American brothers Hiram and Barney Davis, who appeared at least once with a traveling carnival in Oak Bluffs, most likely during the 1880s. Also known individually as “Waino” and “Plutano,” they were each 40 inches tall, weighed about 45 pounds, and were exceptionally strong: a favorite part of their act was to pick up members of the audience and hold them over their heads.
