Richard Very picks lavender from Island musician Mike Benjamin’s yard to give his lemonade some local flavor. To make a pitcher of the lavender lemonade, Richard suggests quadrupling the recipe and filling the pitcher with ice, lemon slices, and a few lavender sprigs.
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 ounces lemon-lavender syrup (see making simple syrups)
- Water
- Lavender sprig and lemon slices, for garnish
1. Fill a tall glass three-quarters full with ice. Add the lemon juice and lemon-lavender syrup. Add water to fill the glass and stir. To garnish, stir in a lavender sprig and some lemon slices.
