If You Had $10,750,000…

Chappaquiddick estate built in 2006 comes with its own deep-water dock and rooms with a view.

Back in the day, small, rustic waterfront “camps” and cottages lined the shores of the Vineyard. They were home to hunters, seasonal vacationers, even celebrities. Times changed, economies boomed, and camps gave way to colossal manors, even as the romantic allure of the quaint seaside shack endured. Take, for instance, the 2006-built Chappaquiddick estate that is said to pay “homage to the illustrious camps that dotted this shoreline a hundred years ago – grand yet welcoming.” The 3.52-acre property features a 4,568-square-foot main house, a three-bedroom guest house, a spa, and a 2,200-square-foot garage barn. There’s also a 140-foot deepwater dock and two swimming platforms where you can dive into Nantucket Sound.
